I Am Important

It is amazing how everyone, even those with a low self-esteem, believes that they are very important.

When I was just a student and didn't have much money, I would go to the bank with my little deposit and quietly think to myself, "I only have R50 to deposit. Why can't those people with lots of money who are going to take long at the cashier let us go through? I'll be done in a few seconds!"

Now that I have more "paper money" to deposit I think to myself, "Why can't these students with their little deposits stand aside a little? We have important things to pay for!"

If I want to be happy in life amidst all these differences between us, I need to accept that everyone is imporant in their own right and on their own level. I also need to help everyone see and know that we all are important, nobody is less important than the other!!!
