Cape Town - Christians have more of an obligation to be law abiding than other people in South Africa, according to the president of the Apostolic Faith Mission, Isak Burger.
He made the comment in a Christmas message released on Tuesday, in which he urged law-abiding citizens to "stay alert" in the face of ongoing crime.
"It is also important that civilised people in our country - more so if they profess to be Christians - should refrain from lawless activities," he said.
"During this time of peace and goodwill it is doubtful whether hardened criminals will respond positively to any request to cease their criminal activities."
