Bloemfontein - Northern Cape police said on Thursday that they had seized stolen copper cable, worth R130 000, hidden in an orchard in Hartswater.
Spokesperson Mashay Gamieldien said police on patrol received information from a local farmer and they searched a plot in the area.
"They found the copper cable hidden in an orchard, a lucerne field and along a road."
Gamieldien said it was clear that the cable was ready to be collected by someone.
The cable was gathered and handed in at the Hartswater police station.
